Greater Southwest Chapter of Credit Unions Presents Donation

September 8, 2011, Niles, Michigan – Greater Southwest Chapter of Credit Unions Treasurer, and President of Greater Niles Community Credit Union Dave Van Strien presents a check for $2,300 to Kathy Rossow, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berrien and Cass. The chapter held is annual golf outing on August 24th at Pine View Golf Course in Three Rivers with the proceeds going to local nonprofit organizations.

Credit Unions from Southwest Michigan which include Cass, and Berrien counties as well as several Credit Unions in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo are members of the chapter. A second check for $2,300 was donated to The Griffon Group from the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek credit unions.

Greater Southwest Chapter of Credit Unions is a way for Credit Unions to share ideas. The Credit Unions meet quarterly and have several different events throughout the year. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berrien and Cass provides volunteer mentors for children between the ages of 6 and 12 years who would benefit from an additional caring adult in their lives.
