Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berrien and Cass’ Trivia Night Fundraiser Starts One Hour Earlier so Sports Fans Can Catch Second Half of Notre Dame Football Game: Doors Open at 5 p.m., Trivia Starts at 6 p.m.

October 10, 2008, Niles, Michigan – Torn between participating in Big Brothers Big Sisters’ ever-popular Trivia Night and watching the Notre Dame Football game? Now you can do both! Big Brothers Big Sisters has moved up the start time for their Trivia Night from 6 p.m. to 5 p.m. so Notre Dame fans will have more time to get home and watch the second half of the football game. Doors open and registration begins at 5 p.m. and the trivia action will begin at 6 p.m. following opening remarks the evening of Saturday, October 25 at Saint Mark’s Parish Hall located at 3 N. Nineteenth Street, Niles, Michigan. So, plan on reserving your table for ten people with a check for $150, bringing your family and friends, seeing old friends, meeting new people, supporting a great cause and having a great night!

According to Kathryn Rossow, Interim Executive Director of Big Brothers Big sisters of Berrien and Cass, “Children in the Niles area and throughout Southwest Michigan benefit from having a Big Brother or a Big Sister in their lives so, when you attend Trivia Night and have a good time, you are helping to enrich the lives of children – and the adults who mentor them – at the same time!”

Registration must be completed in advance to guarantee your spot, as team tables are going fast. Each team is encouraged to bring tailgate food and munchies. There will be a cash bar offering beer, wine, soda and bottled water. All proceeds from the event, which is open to the general public, will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berrien and Cass, Inc..

Team participants will gather at their respective tables. While enjoying their tailgate food and munchies, they will compete against other tables by answering trivia questions on topics such as current and vintage sports trivia as well as other trivia categories. However, the evening is not specific to trivia aficionados — a silent auction, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle during breaks in the Trivia action will provide something for everyone. A $250 prize will go to the winning table!
